eh wiper parts

heh guys can anyone help me aquire the right hand drivers side ball joint thingy cap. rare spares have taken theres off the market as faulty, cheers eric

cheers. it looks like a cup nylon bush, with cupped metal cap with multiple bendable tabs, which connects to the ball joint on the arm , at the moment i have a salt shaker stopper , works fine but for how long. cheers ekka

Hey there Eric,
You will struggle to find the the nylon cup and metal retainer cap any good second hand. The reason is that when you go to remove the metal retainer cap off a used unit, more often than not the little metal fingers snap off due to metal fatigue. Also usually the nylon cup is knackered as well.
The best option to take is to buy a complete second hand unit with the two arms still attached so that nothing is dismantled. I have sold heaps of these over the years this way because you can be sure that the assembly is nice and tight.
By the way the Rare Spares replacement kits have always been crap as they were still loose even after you replaced their new kit and never lasted. Absolute rubbish.
Oh and another thing for new players to be aware of. EJ and EH have different wiper assembly units so you need to make sure you get EH.
I can help you with a very good second hand unit complete with arms if you would like to go that way but I am not interested in pulling it apart just to get the bush and cap off it sorry.

no sorry no love all i have left is a few wiper arms and blades from my boxs off bits

but i do rember that some one other than rare did a kit or swap service i think it was robos in blacktown they would probly have parts or at least a lead or try and find it other than rare i think that Jonny James mentioned that he had an EH EJ in his backyard good for parts might be worth a PM also how about blu van 64 he seems to have a lot of parts
