Time to Unite
Im New to forums, so il be gentle. But with the demise of both Ford and GM in this country I feel a kind of unity evolving. I was one of the worst offenders. When cut, actual blue blood would ooze out. Now I feel far more united with my Red Blooded brothers and sisters. Now we are cut loose from the mother country (Detroit USA), we can all appreciate the true greatness of what we as Australians made. Now I can "Come out". Il confess right here and now.... I always wanted an LC GTR, and a HQ Sandman. Whoa that feels better, a weight has lifted. There is a local white HX Sandman and he waves at me (White XH Falcon). In the day, blokes in XU1s never waived to me in a GT Falcon. Maybe vanners have always been this way. Perhaps others out there would also like to come out. I am certain some of the GM Blokes wanted an Escort Sundowner. Any thoughts ? Daz

Time To Unite
Hi Daz,
I have wanted alot of cars over the year's, BUT, I don't know about a Escort Van ( I'm not that big) but to small for me mate.
I hear what you are saying, But it's not the car's (Model) fault. It's up to the person driving them
Hopefully, More & more people will respect other person's cars for what they/it is & not by the badge,
because, let's face it..... they are a dieing bread & they DON'T make them ANYMORE - Red or Blue blood ( not in this country anyway)
One last thing, As far as i know, The Van scene or people ALWAYS WAVE or TALK too each other
That's my say......
Cheers 4 now

Welcome Daz you have come to the right place Vanners appreciate vans no matter what breed like Sam I'm not sure about the escort had one as a service van once was a bit small for me but i can appreciate them now .
Whilst my blood is red it could turn blue for the right van .

Re: Time to Unite
Well Daz I'm going to play the official fence sitter,
My blood is mainly red at heart but have ALWAYS appreciated the van/Rod/bike/car for the build.
I love the falcon coupe especially the goss specials, also have a soft spot for the XT GT along with the running gear of the 289/302 Windsor the top loader and not forget the 9 inch.
All said and done at the end of all this that is happening here in aus with ford/ holden/ Toyota
It won't be long and I'll bet that we see CAMARO'S & MUSTANGS racing round the Moutain ......

Re: Time to Unite
Myself, I have owned more holdens then any other brand but I have owned a couple of blue oval cars and Chrysler's as well, when it comes to a van I appreciate them all and I would own all three,at last years Van-In we had a great variety of vans from a mini and that was one sweet little van to a chrysler that was owned by a young lady it was a great mix.
The thing with Majestic Vanners we are already united we all appreciate what a van is and alway's welcome anyone who has the same passion as what we have, when it comes to small vans the Gemini is my favourite but I do respect and like Escorts as there have been some very nice ones built overtime,,we have a member up your way that has an Escort van called imperfection I am sure James would be more than happy to meet up with you and show you his van,one thing I will say it is great to see vanning growing again these are great times and to share with great people.
Regards Tony.

Re: Time to Unite
Mate I like to swing each way ,But it has been mostly red for me over the years. But like most people I do like any model of car or van if it is done correctly.Tis a shame what is happening as I always try and support local made(ozzie is local for us here in NZ)Also the two teams I have always supported in V8 supercars is DJR and HRT.So a boot in each camps for me.Yes also when traveling in the Van seem to get more responce that driving our Brock.Maybe more here NZ can relate to the old Van than the Brock.
