Wagon Nationals 2016 - Caribbean Gardens August 28th

For fans of the long roof, the Wagon Nationals are to be held at Caribbean Gardens on August the 28th.

Scott Middleton has asked if we could get a few vans on display at this event.

The old Wagons United Club will be holding a reunion as part of the event, and will see a couple of members with vans there also.

We will have fliers in their goody bags for the Van-In, so it would be good if we could get a few vans on display there as well! Joe and myself attended last year, and Caribbean Gardens is a great venue as a lot of you would know from the Vic State Van Titles being held there over the last couple of years.

Scott is expecting over 300 entrants at this event traveling from all over Australia so it is sure to be a huge event!

Thanks Karl for posting the flyer. I also had an enjoyable time at last years event and would be pleased to attend again this year.

We will also have a new prospective member traveling down from traralgon on the day to meet with us.  His name is Riley, he his 19 and attended the Van Nationals in Moe in his HZ van where he walked away with an encouragement award.



He has since purchase a VY van and just recently added some decals to it:

Riley's VY looks like the old NOK1ST VY that Ben owned.

Foxy Lady will be there on the wagons United car club stand.

I am organising the Wagons United car club reunion, and we are launching the reunion at the Wagons Nats.

We do have a flyer for the reunion but i cant get pics to post. We have 10 vehicles on our stand including last years winner who was a member of the club, but not all are wagons as the club in its latter years opened to a car club.

The reunion will the held at the Dromana drive in (vic) on the 25th feb 2017. It will be a closed event for members and associates till about 4pm, we are still working on the finer details, but the drive in is booked.

Anyone who attended the car show at the Burwood Blind institute, Custom Car Spectacular are invited, and who remembers the good old days before mobile phones and computers.

If anyone can post the flyer for me i can email it to who even can do this for me.

I am also thinking of going to the vannin, in oct. Thats the wkend after the Pambula Motorfest and Foxy is booked to go there. Its hard two events in a row but we are considering it.

Which van do i bring my beddy or Foxy.

Yeh i sure was, i was the founding member, the club back then was called the Torana Street Machine Club of Victoria.

My son was one at the time of starting it and he is now 28.
