2018 Van Nationals Barmera S.A
For those that attended this awesome event had a great weekend. Put together by some serious contenders Jason Ackland, Jesse Pearl Sykes, Tony Collier and Julie Collier and those that assisted over the weekend. Thank You.
For those that were not able to join us here are a few glimpses of the weekend.
Beginning the journey with a few stopovers to Horsham
A sleepover at Tony and Justine’s.
The Bus was used as awesome accommodation for the Presidential Family.
Early start for Good Friday.

On the road to South Australia.
A minor hiccup for the crew, a major hiccup for Ted TnT, a fuel pump that refused to fuel that pretty engine. Luckily we had a four wheel drive to flat tow him back to Pinnaroo. Unfortunately leaving him behind but with the help of new parts thanks to Sammy on the way up from Horsham he was able to join us later in the evening..... What a crew we have.
Left abandoned with Sam to baby sit the Van.
NAAAAH! NOT THAT VAN THIS VAN......

Easter Saturday saw all the Vans leave for a cruise to Burt Dix Park, set up with a sausage in bread and relax on the river front.

Re:2018 Van Nationals Barmera S.A.
Joe and I were able to secure a photo shoot in the Loxton Historic Village for those that were interested. After a relax by the river front a few of us cruised down to the Loxton Village paid a small entry fee and rolled in for our photo shoot. Some of you will already have seen some of the awesome shots provided by Karl and various others displayed on wastebook.
Helping Joe and Darren Burns set the Panel Vans on display I wasn’t able to get many but here are a few.
Anyone remember these.....?

Re: 2018 Van Nationals Barmera S.A
Just to finish off the weekend with similar photos that have been posted on wastebook of the photo shoot by Lake Bonney and dinner served.
Show day photos are best seen by Karl and others as I have my copies on Camera.
Cheers to all those that travelled with us what a cruise... Hey. Cheers to Jason, Jesse, Julie, Tony and many others for putting on an essentially flawless weekend. Cheers to all those that are interested in following our progress reports and photos on both wastebook and the forum. This is what makes Vanning worthwhile.
Cheers Joe and Angelique.

Great photos Angelique ,shows a great run down of your Nat's weekend...
I think Samy needs a real horse though as it suits him on horseback.
Oh and from Karl's fb post MV took out best club award again ..
From my memory that's about 7 years in row , Congratulations to all ...

Hi Angelique,
Nice photo storyboard there, and good to see them on the forum. I must admit I hardly took any photos at all this year, but plenty of others did.
Seems like a distant memory now......
And it'll be interesting to see who's up for the long haul next year. It'll be over 5,000k round trip from down this way !!

Great effort Joe & Angelique,
Truly appreciate you adding the photos and story to the forum.
Plenty of Vanners don't use Facebook so don't get to see the shots posted for instant gratification.
Super to see the Vans out and about for the 2018 Van Nationals.
Regards, Smooth

That it will.
I'm planning on being there, all going to plan. It'll be good to see some of the Vans hidden in the North of the State.
I'm guessing Parkes in 2020 will be the next Big One where distance from most states makes it achievable.

Parkes will defently be big !
I suggested central Nsw over 5yrs ago for that very reason ,What a good spot it
will be .
Imagine 200 vans parked under the radio telescope....

Classic Restos have posted up their Video of the Van Nats. Follow this link: Classic Restos Video
Fletch travels to the Riverland of South Australia for the largest van show in Australia to check out some of the coolest classics of the 70's when panel vans ruled.
Some of the cars featured include; Russell with his 1979 Ford Escort Sundowner panel van, the result of a 3-year restoration project, Jenny with her 1978 HZ Sandman in pristine original condition.
Then there's Rod's 1978 HZ fully customised Sandman called 'The Player' something quite special. Susan with a 1975 HJ Sandman Panel Van featuring a spectacular custom Mural entitled ' Timeless'. Event organiser Jason, practices what he preaches with his a full nut & bolt restoration project, a Holden HX Sandman rolling shell that he hopes to have ready for the 44th Australian Panel Van Show in 2019.
