My other cars - past and present

Thought I would start a thread about my old cars and current ones that I have, Ill also keep updates on my xp coupe here if anyone is interested.

When I first got my licence for some reasons i took the stupid different path and I got right into the "poondinga" cars haha. heres a few pics of my first few cars that i did up.









When I sold the purple 200sx I found myself an xy fairmont for the right price so i snapped it up as a long term project because ide always been a huge fan of these. But for some reason I bought an rx7 and decided to spend more money on it too.

Then around 3yrs ago came the pano haha. I needed the running gear for my xy and it was a great price so i snapped it up, as a joke some mates and I lowered it and put some flappers on it and this started not only the pano obsession but the old car obsession back up haha



The pig pano was ugly as hell but there was something different with these older style of cars that I wasnt used to and the people that are interestd in them also were great. So i sold the rx7 and thats when the collection started haha

After looking for an old car to cruise around in I found the xk. It wasnt perfect but was an awesome cruiser and with a bit of work I had it regod and ready to go.

It had a 250 and 3 speed auto from an xy, centura diff and disc brake front end, I had to raise the tunnel a bit to get it to sit nice and low but it still handled and drove well like that. I loved this car but it started to get a fair bit of rust coming through and I had an offer to good to refuse so I sold it.

Anyway Ide been to swap meets etc but my first Rod Run I ever went to was Bright and it was amazing. This is when I realised ide wasted so much time and money on jap crap and I wanted another project haha.

So I bought myself an xp coupe and decided to go all out on it. This is it after taking it to be acid dipped before we began the bodywork haha

And then Ive also got my xy van, Which as I said in my other thread I bought to have as a neat daily and it has sort of got out of hand haha. I still have my xy fairmont sitting in my shed waiting for its time to shine but for now the pano is full steam ahead haha





Anyway thats me and my cars haha.. Hope to get to know some of you guys on here and maybe meet some of you at meets etc.

Hey Brad,
glad you seen the light mate and got into steel cars! I remember seeing the pink Subaru around Wagga. I did the 4 cylinder thing too, but only Gemini's. My last Gemini van was blue with B45 Simmons and spent a heap of time in Wagga when I was working/staying there.
Love the XY van project not to many early Ford vans about anymore, great to see one getting saved.

Hey Brad is there many vans left around Wagga? A few years ago there was a blue WB that Dave Annetts owned and the old green bus VANMAN that Dave Vearing owned and a really low cool old flat black HJ? van, but Dave Annetts sold his and VANMAN crashed his and I haven't seen the old black bus for ages. Is there any left?

they're few and far between over here mate. VANMAN is still around but sees very little street duties these days. I see the matt black one almost every day. it's still in great nick. lindsay manning still has his old pink POWERAGE van that he uses for work and there's an old green one that gets around. she's very worn out these days but would have been a ripper in it's day with big guard flares n the wing n all. I'll try and get some pics for you as I see them. no old ford vans these days tho all Holdens but cool vans none the less :p

I've seen the green one with flares and chrome nosecone. OC202 number plates. I know some people that know the guy that owns it, Ollie Campbell, Ollies trolley they call it, would've been shit hot in the day. I forgot about the Powerage van, it was tidy too a few years ago.
Be great if you can get photos of them and add them up in the van register section.

yep that's th one haha. it looks cool with the chrome front end on it!! I'll try and get some pics when I see em around

Just realised i didnt put pics of my rx7 up..

here was the 7, 94 model series 6. painted in hok candy teal, full peach trim, extended mild port 13bt made almost 500hp at the treads haha. and yes had big ugly milo tin wheels aswell.

Nah thats a different one mate, its a newer model. seen it around though.

Heres a couple of pics of my little daily driver. Im looking to sell it so took some pics, dont really want to sell it, its a cool old thing.I mean where can you find an 84 model ute with sunroof, sliding rear window and 134k on the clock haha and its unreal on fuel but im thinking I might get a gemi or ecky van haha. see how I go tho

oh and heres a couple of other cars that either I have owned or my brother has owned over time. mostly from my 4cyl days haha (made alot of money off the little 4 bangers)

nope ive had 5 datto utes and have sold them all. wishing i kept the one with the big engine in it though but ah well.

and you know you can never have enough toys haha
