I'm told that you can't buy these new anymore and that Rare Spares currently has no plans to make/sell any at the moment.
A Mate, who knows I still have one in the Box, was at Rare Spares Wodonga last week was told that if he could get a new one that they would give him $800.00 for it.
I'm looking at making the bottom section from Fibreglass and fitting a section of Grille. It will be very tidy.
Just wondering who might be interested?
Price will be based on cost of Materials and time to make the Mould and the Part. I'm thinking $150-$200 at the moment but will confirm once I proceed. Depends on what I can get the Grille Pieces for and how many I can get from one Upper Grille.
Might also do an option to fit your own Grille Section.
I've seen 2nd hand ones go for ridiculous prices, so figure there might be a market.
Regards
Rusty!

If Rare Spares are offering him $800 than they'd sell it for $1200-1500, I'd pay $150-300 for one depending on how badly I wanted one and like you Rusty have seen them sell for silly prices. There's certainly a market for them and think if you priced them around the $200-250 mark you'd sell a heap of them!
Be a great item to repro mate.
Cheers Rob

Thanks Rob.
There's a new, never been fitted HX-Z lower Grille on EvilBay at the moment. Link Click Here
5 hours to go and already at $500.00.
It'll be interesting to see what it goes for.

Rusty, if you could make a good looking reproduction, you'd sell quite a few I think.
