Im Christian ahh newby to the vanning scene owned a van for 5 years finally finished resto november last year iv got a hq panlevan sadly has the original 202 because of p plate laws, Anyways glad too be amongst it

hey, i'm steve or lewey to everyone i know,

have a 72 hq pano in 6 million bits right now, was a good runner til i drove it from country victoria to newcastle and decided it could be better.. that was 2 years ago, poor old girl has sat in the shed since. however the minister for war and finance (wife to be) says after the wedding, this saturday its pano time! so hope to her put back together before the end of the year.

Do HQ vans really have 6 million bits? If so that'd explain all the assorted bits and pieces we've got around here some days it seems like there's enough bits and pieces to build a dozen vans and the more we get rid of the more we find!

I hail from Warrnambool also (for now)....

Been a GM/Holden Fan all my life. Loved them before I even new what they where. But have never owned a Van (Not out of not wanting one tho).
Unfortunately I just seen the end of the whole Van craze while growing up in the south east of Aust. Always been into the whole Kustom scene right from the start, Anything that was modified was considered ultra kool in my world, and I could never get enough of it hear in Aust back then! By the age of 10 I was well into reading Mags from the U.S and England to fuel my fix. Low riders and Kustoms where a big hit..... Next to Kustoms, Muscle cars and true street drag cars have also been of great interest.

My First knowledge of a true VAN, was when I would have been no older then say 6 or 7 Living in Wyalla (76'ish) a Guy that my mothers friend new, and would visit. He Owned a HG/T, Jet mags or Cheviot 5slots, 4 on the floor fitted behind a, I guess a 253... But my memory of this car was HEARING it come from several blocks away as he swapped gears coming thro the back streets thro its original Side Pipes!......I was in love!.... I was seriously hooked, When I seen it pull up for the first time... I was in a trans lol.

So vans where kool from that day on..... I could probably easily say it also helped my interest in Airbrushing. Tho I never aspired to airbrush, or become a painter.
Long story short.... I wanted to paint my own MX Helmet, after missing out on a Custom Painted Helmet Competition. It never lasted.... Until the "Net" became second nature in the family home, and a Friend on a Forum wanted to airbrush his Ute..... I've posted a few Pics of my work in the Van Art section.

I'm also a Huge fan of Ol'skool, Be it Paint, Rods, Velvet lol. I'm not a fan at all of modern trends in the show scene (to put it mildly) these days. Not all however....But most. And Hand built by its owner wins big kudo's in my book... Like it used to be.

Damn, I've always thought "IF" I was to swing a Van, It would most deffenatly have some wild wild airbrushing!!!! Hmmm, I'll keep it in mind (again).

I'm the other Warrnamboolian that pretty much keeps the finger on the pulse down this way for the MV team.

I'm in the throws of building 3 vans.... yes i know!!!

My current project is my show van, that's been on the burner for about 3 years.
Hope to get registered mid year for some cruising & modding up for Nats top 10.
it's a bit hush hush, trying not to let the Mv's know bout it till it's unveiled at Nats 2012.

hey there fellas and lady's I'm an old vanner from way back used to own a hq sandman with side pipesand a strked 308 and torquise blue ,corvette bonnet scoop previously owned by a member of the van demons van club in tasmania.
i am about to take a build on a hq to wb not sure yet van and give it the full show and custom job .
always wanted alley cat but seems shes gone to a good home good luck with her shes a top van.
look out towards the end of the year when i start on my van.

Hello Guys,
My name is Greg, I am the original owner of "Invader 2001". I suppose you guys have a few questions, I was given your web site address after a visit to hxbunny's house, spotted the van in the garage and just had to ask Mark's wife what's the story behind the van. She told me to get on this site and you'll find out all about it.
I have alot of photos of Invader and other van's to share, photos I have taken during the custom shows, some vans I don't know maybe someone can put a name to them. Invader still appears in Street Machine now and then, I think the Editor still has a soft spot for it.
I read where you guy's want to do some detective work to find the body and chassis, I was going to ring Street Machine and place a "where is" search to find out where it is, maybe your site can help.
