vandil arrives in tassie

vandil arrived in tassie on friday.. unfortunately the front spoiler was flapping around on one side ..it had a snapped bonnet hinge and the floating floor in the rear had been pulled up and the nitro bottle has been disconnected and removed... i called the guy i bought it from and he said vip transport wont ship vehicles with any thing in the rear.. [which i understand but to trash the floor in the process was poor form] had a rego inspection which passed but is on hold until the chassis number is sighted .. im aware it has a wb chassis under it but cant find the number.. i thought they were on top of the rail on drivers side ,cant see it even faintly.will have another look over the weekend. ive sent andrew a PM asking if he can shed any light...hopefully it will have reg by next weekend..

Great news the van made it, and glad its in good hands now, sounds like the previous owner didnt appreciate it very much. With a bit of a tidy up she'll be as good as new! WB chassis number are on the top of the drivers side rail. Try looking back a bit further as the number on my vans back a bit further than on my HQ van.

Or if the chassis was a replacement genuine for years ago it may not even have a chassis number on it as the panel shops some times failed to put it on.

Great to hear that it's in good hands - transport companies (in my experience) are usually pretty crap, but at least the car made it over the ditch.

good pics ill try and top them if i can but the chicks in tassie are usually a bit more covered up than that... might have to wait a couple of months till the sun is shining ...do any of you guys know what magazine/issue vandil was in ..wouldnt mind getting a back issue to put in the shed
