Re: QUICK QUESTION
I try not to say the rude 4 letter F word mate! Not many of us mate, there's not that many good Ford vans left, although I got a lead on an '80's Ford show van the other night thats been stored since the '80's and is now for sale.

Re: QUICK QUESTION
Behave boys! If I had the dosh, I'd have the trifecta: Sandman, Sundowner and Drifter.
I'd like to see more Fords around (and other makes for that matter).
Cheers

Well, its an honer then to be rare, I AM the lucky one to be un-common, you might say, I will stand out as a shinning glow in your local car-park or in the distance down the highway ........ a bright light over the horizon........ you will say to yourself OH!!.......*#@%....... Such rarity WILL blind YOU with my splendor....my chrome....my slender curves (not me the van) as only the great XB PANNO has ..and as i pass you by.... you'll pull over to side of the road ..get out ..trembling and say WOW!!!!!!! an XB

Re: QUICK QUESTION
Yes you are correct. The Sandpipers were the 2 door coupes or the sedans.
In April 1977, a limited edition "Sandpiper" model was also offered in both sedan and coupe body shapes. They were identified by a black grille with stainless steel top edge, gold pin stripes, chequered cloth seat inserts and door trims, wood-grain dash sections, radio/cassette player, a four spoke steering wheel and the A9R ('Fashion Pack') suspension package. Externally they were easily identified by the word "Sandpiper: and a bird decal, this was on the side rear quarters of the coupe, and on the rear doors of the sedans.
Whereas the Gypsy had the following:
A limited edition "Gypsy" van was made available in February 1980 and was offered with a tachometer and console gauges. Individual plaid cloth seats were available (a different plaid to other earlier Geminis). The Gypsy featured blacked out grille treatment and door window surrounds, square headlights and full chrome bumpers, full length headlining and carpet (regular vans had vinyl flooring as standard. Gypsys are now a highly collectible Gemini model, with original examples estimated to be worth over AU$10,000 to avid collectors.
