Last time i looked i stated that i am not saying i have an original Sandman, only the tags are saying Sandman. So i don't even know what these Mongs on that Sandman Site are dribbling about. Probably a whole bunch of blokes who haven't even owned a Sandman or even sat in one

Oh well mate you cant please everyone. If they where model builders their what we label as "rivet counters", full of great useless info that only serves to suck the fun out of the whole thing. I doubt any of them would own a concourse sandman,(geniune or not). Ive argued with one of their members before about Sandmans and factory fitted/dealer fitted Holden options and wouldn't waste my time argueing with him again. All people like them do is convince people to get right away from vans and build something else!
If their such experts why did one of their members say he had a HJ with a factory fitted blue motor! Best look in the mirror and at your own vans before you start rubbishing others peoples vans/cars. And try and not take it so seriously, where talking about a car that even Holden who built the things cant/wont identify 3/4 of them unless there XX7/XU3 plated. It's a huge grey area and will always be open to opinions/speculation.
Its not worth argueing about if it takes the fun out of it!

Yeah mate noticed that yesterday and did think it was pretty harsh of them. Especially when some guys say its ok to reshell a sandy but to change a chassis is a no no? end of the day its all shits nd giggles.

There's always exceptions to the rules anyway mate, Ive seen a 3 seater HQ Sandman ute, HQ Sandman van Brisbane built no XX7 on plates and heaps of other weird ones. Who cares aslong as your happy and enjoying yourself, it's not like an SL/R 5000 which is easy to identify.
