Hi all, John from Wodonga.

49, married, light truck driver

Seen one of the flyers for the easter show in Albury, so joined the site.

I dont own a Van, have had a few over the years.

I do have a WB ute, WB Tonner and a WB Statesman.

I love everything to do with the WB models, including the Peter Brock built HDT WB Magnum Statesmans and Ute.

Cheers.

Welcome aboard John, another WB fan! I'm a bit partial to them myself and was kicking myself a bit when around 7-8 years ago a local caryard had a WB HDT Statesman on the lot for around the 12k mark and I was short of funds. Crying or Very sad
Hope you enjoy your time on here and feel free to add up some pics of your WB's in the other cool ride and utes and pick up section.

Cheers Rob

A BIG Welcome from me Guys. welcome

I look forward to the opportunity of possibly meeting some of you at Easter at the Sinners & Saints SINBIN Show & Shine at Easter.

Looks Like we're going to have to get an Albury/Wodonga Group up and running for regular meets.

... and especially for my Old Mate Daz (I can say that cause I'm old too), great to see you getting back into things and I'm looking forward to catching up at Easter.

I'll be at the Jindera Swap Meet this weekend with a Club Shirt and/or Jacket. Don't be afraid to introduce yourself, I might look Old and Cranky, but don't let that fool you.

Ps. I'm pleased to see the Flyers are getting to People.

I ran out real fast at the Chryslers on the Murray on Sunday.

I wished I had an extra thousand or so.

Gidday Karl

We eventually found each other back at his Van and had a great chat.

The Van is looking Schmick as usual!

We also put some Flyers in the back of his Van for people to take.

Chryslers on the Murray is absolutely HUGE now. I'd be interested to know how many Cars were on display. I'm guessing over 800.

I overheard someone comment that it wasn't a Show & Shine anymore, but a Car Park as the Cars were packed so tight they couldn't open them up to display them, except for a select few.

There were only 3 Vans on display and I saw one Cruising on the way out. I'll post some pics once I've uploaded them.

Heaps of PT Cruisers.

I spent about 3 1/2 hours there and could have stayed a lot longer if there weren't things that needed doing for the Shed.

Hi all
My names Mark ive been in the background reading all the great topics at MV, so I thought it was time to introduce myself.
Like a lot of you out there i'm a late 40's guy that was into Vanning back in its Heyday, I met Sam Ivanac with Tangerine Dream at a van show in warnambool back when I was 17 I had a hk prem wagon that my mate was driving, we ended up cruising down to portland together and i can still remember looking out the back window at that van thinking i've gotta have one, from that time i was hooked,
over the years i've owned a couple of vans nothing special also had a couple of wagons and sedans, and at one stage was a member of the holden street machines car club, I still have the jacket wouldn't fit me now lol.
After reading your forum im hooked again i keep telling the wife it's a mid life crissis lol, more old jokes, anyway i'm currently looking for a Holden shell and chassis to rebuild, saw one in Geelong recently but it's been on fire, could call it the Pheonix rising from the ashes.
I'm based in the western suburbs of melbourne

Welcome aboard Mark.

Glad to hear that Our Forum has renewed your interest in Vans.

The Guys and Gals on here are a Great Bunch of People (Enthusiastic would be an understatement), and I know they'll keep an eye open for a Van that might interest you.

Lots of leads on Vans get posted up in the "Swap Meet' Section.

Happy Hunting!

Hi Mark great to hear from you, i'm looking at a ground up build so if i start with just a bare shell and rolling chassis i'll be happy as thats less i need to get rid of later. I'm a mechanic by Trade so most work i can do myself.
I'd prefer a windowless shell preferably with straight quarters, not much to ask lol,
if you've got any ideas love to hear them.
