I'd like to introduce myself I'm Denise.
I'm Pat Fays eldest daughter.
My father would be very humbled and thankful for all the lovely messages that all have said about him.
He didn't like fuss but loved meeting and greeting with people from everywhere.

Hi Denise .... I'm so very glad & happy to see you on here ... I don't normally write on here I leave it to my husband Neil ... Your Dad was definitely one of a kind ... Where so very sorry for the loss of your dear, larger than life Dad .. I like most just thought he was awesome ... He was a legend in his own right plus a very knowledgable man when he wasn't teasing me & I wasn't doing the same to him ... I loved the way he use to say it exactly how it was back when I use to see him that's probably why we got on so well ... I loved what you wrote in Street a Machine your a real credit to him but as you say wouldn't he be giving us heaps over the fuss but he really was loved by so many ... Your Dad & I use to tease each other like crazy ... I'm the one he use to call Blondie but you don't need me to tell you how loud he was he didn't need a microphone but neither did I for that matter ... I really hope I get a chance to meet you really soon .... Anyway as I said I'm so very very glad to see you on here ... Again I'm so very sorry for the loss of you dear Dad he really was awesome, funny, extremely cheeky man whom a lot of us adored & looked up to ... Sending you lots of love ... Hello folks.
It's been a while but I'm on the search for another panel van after a long break.
I've owned 9 over the years, mostly Escort vans but I loved Sandmans as well.
A workmate who had one of the latter in his youth got me thinking of finding another one to do up for a business promotional vehicle.
My daily driver is so boring and needing to carry a bit of equipment I think a little van would be ideal.
So, I'm on the look out for possibly another Escort van or maybe an old EH Holden (maybe pushing it a bit) .....Anything pre-Commodore Holden or X series Falcon would be nice.
I have no allegiance when it comes to vans, they are all way cool!
Look forward to meeting a few people as well.

GDay everyone im the new guy on here im a car nut called COL from northwest tasmania been into cars forever, pre 80s mostly had a variety of cars & vans , an understanding wife that knows i wont change is a bonus , we have a sundowner that needs some tlc but still a nice ride overall ,, hope to chat to all and have i bit of input if needed cheers col Very Happy

I was talking to the wife the other week about heading to Tassie for a week in the van just me and the love of my life and the wife to I guess. Leave the kids behind.

Thanks all for the welcome, If it does happen your all welcome ,theres plenty of room here for anyone coming. having trouble putting photos on here ,ive read the forum on how to but being computer illiterate its not working,will keep trying, the vans not bad body/rust wise its the interior that lets it down which suits me im not much of a panel beater unless its ratrod style and flat black cheers col

As we spoke last week Sam when l was in Tassie about this idear count me in would like to attend a car show while there best time when not holiday season the boat is expensive
